Hail, March 10, 2024, Deputy Governor of Hail Region Prince Faisal bin Fahd inaugurated the first hiking trail in the region, leading to the historical lighthouse of Hatem Al-Tai atop Mount Al Samra. Organized by the Saudi Hiking Trails Association (Darb), the trail aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The deputy governor was briefed on the trail's execution, emphasizing its safe paths, panoramic views of Hail city, watercourses, and afforestation. The initiative follows the transformation of Mount Al Samra into a green mountain. The trail participants learned about the historical lighthouse and Hatem Al-Tai's welcoming tradition for weary travelers from distant lands. Darb has established 15 hiking trails across the Kingdom.
