Islamabad, April 16, 2024, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar recently chaired the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), a collaborative effort between the two nations aimed at fostering investment opportunities.
A high-profile Saudi delegation attended the meeting, comprising Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef, Advisor to the Royal Court Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri, Assistant Minister of Investment Ibrahim Al-Mubarak, along with several senior officials from key Saudi ministries and funds.
During the gathering, Prince Faisal lauded the longstanding and robust Saudi-Pakistani relations. He highlighted the significance of the Saudi delegation's visit in line with the recent meeting between His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan in Makkah. This visit further strengthens opportunities for investment across various sectors and supports investors in both countries.
The discussions at the meeting focused on strategies to enhance economic cooperation and trade, aligning with the shared aspirations of the leaderships of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
