Brussels, January 22, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the European Union (EU) Foreign Affairs Council meeting held in Brussels. The meeting was chaired by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
During a working lunch, Minister Prince Faisal, along with several Arab officials, engaged in discussions on the latest developments in the Middle East. The participants addressed the situation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the urgent need for a ceasefire and expressing concern for the humanitarian catastrophe being experienced by the residents of the enclave.
The working lunch and discussions were attended by Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukri. This diplomatic gathering provided a platform for high-level exchanges on critical regional issues, underlining the importance of international cooperation and dialogue in addressing challenges and promoting peace in the Middle East.
