Riyadh, March 03, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, played an active role today in the joint ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and the Kingdom of Morocco. This important gathering, held under the presidency of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, focused on strengthening the collaborative ties between the GCC states and Morocco.
The participants engaged in comprehensive discussions to explore ways to enhance and fortify the existing cooperation between the GCC states and Morocco. Additionally, the meeting addressed the unfolding developments in the Gaza Strip and Rafah City. The urgent need for a ceasefire was emphasized, along with the establishment of humanitarian corridors to facilitate the delivery of essential aid, including food and medical assistance, to the Gaza Strip.
Particular attention was given to addressing grave violations of international humanitarian law in the Gaza Strip and Rafah City. The participants expressed their support for a peace process and stressed the importance of fulfilling the rights of the Palestinian people to statehood, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in alignment with relevant international resolutions. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of the participating nations to address pressing regional issues and contribute to the pursuit of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
