Prince Faisal bin Farhan meets Georgia's Foreign Affairs Minister in Riyadh

Riyadh, January 24, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh today. The discussions during the meeting centered on strategies to enhance and broaden the bonds of friendship and mutual cooperation across various domains. Additionally, the two diplomats delved into regional and international issues of shared interest.

Prince Faisal and the Georgian Foreign Minister took a significant step by signing a memorandum of understanding, formalizing the establishment of the Saudi-Georgian Coordination Council. The primary objective of this council is to foster increased collaboration between the two nations, aligning with the collective aspirations of both leaderships and the peoples of Saudi Arabia and Georgia.

Present at the meeting were the ministry's Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, the Saudi Ambassador to Georgia, Salman Al Al-Sheikh, and the Director General of the General Administration of the Secretariats of the Councils and Committees, Eng. Fahd Al-Harthy. The gathering reflected the commitment of both countries to strengthening diplomatic ties and exploring avenues for mutual development and cooperation.
