Prince Faisal bin Farhan meets with US Secretary Blinken at GCC headquarters

Riyadh, April 29, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a meeting today with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, which took place at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the gathering between the foreign ministers of GCC countries and the United States.

During the meeting, both parties discussed avenues to strengthen relations and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States. They also deliberated on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, with a specific focus on Rafah. There was a mutual emphasis on the urgent necessity for an immediate ceasefire and concerted efforts to ensure the swift delivery of essential humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Attending the meeting were Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, Dr. Manal Radwan, an Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mohammed Alyahya, an Advisor to the Foreign Minister. Their presence underscored the significance of the discussions and collaboration between the two nations on critical regional and humanitarian issues.
