Cairo, October 12, 2023, On the eve of the ministerial meeting of the Extraordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States, Prince Faisal bin Farhan of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Faisal Mekdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, met in Cairo. The two sides covered several topics of mutual interest during the discussion, as well as events in Gaza and the area in light of the ongoing military operations. Dr. Saud Al-Sati, vice minister of foreign affairs for political affairs; Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar, permanent representative of the Kingdom to the League of Arab States; and Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, director general of the foreign minister's office, were present at the meeting.
