Muscat, October 10, 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah engaged in a significant meeting with Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. This important diplomatic encounter took place on the sidelines of the 27th ministerial assembly between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU) in Muscat, Oman.
The discussions focused on the evolving situation in Gaza and its adjacent regions, with both diplomats emphasizing the urgent need for de-escalation. They also underscored the critical role the international community must play in intensifying their efforts to craft an equitable and comprehensive solution that respects the rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people, while contributing to regional and global security and peace.
In addition to addressing regional affairs, the meeting provided an opportunity to explore and strengthen the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the European Union. The participants delved into avenues for enhancing these relations across a spectrum of collaborative domains.
