Prince Faisal meets Bangladesh's Prime Minister during Women in Islam conference

Jeddah, November 06, 2023, On the sidelines of the International Conference on Women in Islam held in Jeddah, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a significant meeting with Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.


During this meeting, Prince Faisal conveyed the warm greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Prime Minister Hasina. Their well-wishes were extended to the Republic of Bangladesh and its people, emphasizing a desire for continued progress and prosperity.


The discussions encompassed an array of topics, including bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, with a focus on ways to bolster and enhance these connections for the mutual benefit of both nations. Additionally, the two leaders delved into the current developments in the Gaza Strip and its surrounding areas, touching upon ceasefire efforts and the critical importance of establishing secure channels for the timely delivery of humanitarian aid to prevent a humanitarian crisis.


The leaders also addressed key themes presented at the International Conference on Women in Islam, highlighting the significance of supporting initiatives that contribute to the advancement and empowerment of women.


In attendance at this pivotal meeting was Mazen bin Hamad Al-Hamli, the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Makkah Region. The meeting marked an essential opportunity for furthering diplomatic ties and discussing issues of regional importance.
