New York, September 20, 2023, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the foreign affairs minister, met with Lars Lkke Rasmussen, the foreign minister of the Kingdom of Denmark, today. In New York, this gathering coincided with the 78th UN General Assembly. The Danish government's decision to submit a law for approval aimed at avoiding insults to religions and beliefs was applauded by the foreign minister during the meeting. This precaution is meant to stop violations of religious symbols and the Holy Quran committed under the guise of free speech. The two ministers talked about how to strengthen and advance their relationships in a range of cooperative areas during their discussion. They looked into combining bilateral and multilateral efforts as well. They also discussed the most recent advancements on significant global concerns as well as the ongoing efforts in this area.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, the Kingdom's permanent representative to the UN, and Abdurrahman Al-Dawood, the director of the Foreign Minister's Office, were both present at the meeting.
