Muscat, October 10, 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a pivotal meeting with Gabrielius Landsbergis, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. This significant diplomatic exchange took place on the sidelines of the 27th ministerial assembly between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU) in Muscat, Oman.
The discussions centered on the latest developments in Gaza and its neighboring regions, underscoring the urgent necessity for de-escalation. Both diplomats emphasized the pivotal role of the international community in intensifying their efforts to craft an equitable and comprehensive solution that respects the rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people while contributing to regional and global security and peace.
In addition to addressing the regional situation, the meeting offered an opportunity to delve into the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the European Union. The participants explored avenues for fortifying and enhancing these relations across a spectrum of collaborative domains.
The Director General of the Foreign Minister's Office, Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, was also a part of this important diplomatic rendezvous, highlighting the significance of the discussions.
