Doha, December 05, 2023, In a collaborative effort to bolster fraternal relations and enhance bilateral cooperation, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, co-chaired the 7th session of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council in Doha today.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from the Amir of Qatar, expressing gratitude for HRH the Crown Prince's visit. In return, Prince Mohammed bin Salman conveyed his thanks and appreciation for the gracious reception and generous hospitality extended by the Amir of Qatar.
Throughout the session, both leaders reviewed various aspects of the strong ties between their countries, exploring opportunities for increased cooperation across diverse fields. Discussions also delved into the latest regional and international developments, with a focus on collaborative efforts in addressing shared challenges.
An integral part of the meeting included the witnessing of the exchange of several bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding, signaling the commitment to further solidify the partnership between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
The notable attendees from the Saudi side comprised key ministers and officials, including Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Sport Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Investment Eng. On the Qatari side, the Deputy Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, and several senior officials also participated in the meeting, highlighting the commitment of both nations to advancing mutual interests and fostering a strong, cooperative relationship.
