Riyadh, October 22, 2023, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, played host to the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, at Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh today. An official reception ceremony marked the Korean president's visit.
During their extensive meeting and official talks, HRH the Crown Prince extended a warm welcome to the Korean president in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while the President expressed his gratitude for the gracious hospitality received.
The discussions between the two leaders encompassed a comprehensive review of their relations, with a focus on collaborative efforts to enhance cooperation across various sectors and tap into available resources for mutual benefit. They also delved into regional and international developments and shared perspectives on addressing common interests.
The meeting was attended by several Saudi ministers and the Korean President's accompanying delegation. Subsequently, HRH the Crown Prince and the President participated in the signing of several pivotal bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs). These included the establishment of the Strategic Partnership Council, the Hydrogen Oasis Initiative for green hydrogen cooperation, a visa exemption agreement, statistical cooperation, and a memorandum of understanding on food and medical product cooperation.
