Riyadh, February 03, 2025 – Under the esteemed patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work will celebrate its 12th edition with a prestigious awards ceremony on February 16, 2025, in Riyadh. The event, which honors individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions to social work, will be attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Al-Rajhi. Minister Al-Rajhi, who also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the award, will play a key role in the ceremony.


The 12th edition of the award will recognize 10 outstanding individuals for their exemplary efforts in the field of social work, acknowledging their dedication to improving the lives of others and fostering social welfare across various sectors. The ceremony will also honor the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) as a distinguished guest, in recognition of the center’s transformative global humanitarian, charitable, and developmental contributions. KSrelief’s work has had a profound impact on communities worldwide, delivering aid and relief in areas affected by conflict, natural disasters, and poverty.


Dr. Fahd Hamad Al-Maghlouth, the Secretary-General of the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award, emphasized the importance of recognizing and celebrating individuals and organizations—whether they are government entities, charitable foundations, or private sector contributors—that have played a vital role in promoting social work. Dr. Al-Maghlouth also highlighted the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to social responsibility, reinforcing social work as a cornerstone of community development, cohesion, and national progress.
