"Riyadh, August 12, 2024." Yemen's healthcare system has advanced significantly under the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Programme for Yemen (SDRPY). In order to achieve long-term development in the healthcare sector, the Kingdom is engaged in a variety of programs and initiatives.
The building of hospitals and medical facilities, together with the provision of training for medical personnel, are among the most significant undertakings. The King Salman Medical and Educational City in the Al-Mahrah Governorate is a prime example. This city has an operating room, outpatient clinics, and a 110-bed hospital all housed inside a one million square meter building.
Between January 2023 and June 2024, the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden completed 440 heart operations, 8,700 procedures, and over 1.3 million medical consultations. The hospital has a cardiac center, 14 specialty clinics, and 270 beds.
The Taiz Cancer Treatment Center, the Hadramout University Hospital and Cancer Treatment Center, and the Aden Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children are a few examples of projects constructed to meet particular needs. To improve the treatment of renal disease, we have also established the Operations and Intensive Care Center and the Al-Mahra renal dialysis center.
Additionally, the endeavor has modernized already-existing medical facilities, such as Aden General Hospital, the 26th of September Hospital in Marib, and the Marib General Authority Hospital.
