Prophet's Mosque hosts over 5 million worshippers in a week

Madinah, Mar 17, 2024, Over the past week, the Prophet's Mosque has witnessed a significant influx of worshippers and visitors, totaling more than 5,225,231 individuals, who convened to partake in daily prayers. These gatherings have been facilitated by the comprehensive services extended by the General Authority for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque, aimed at ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of attendees.

This data stems from a recent report released by the General Authority for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque, shedding light on the array of services rendered to worshippers and visitors during the inaugural week of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1445 Hijri.

During this period, 414,878 individuals had the privilege of paying their respects to the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions. Moreover, 134,447 male visitors and 107,697 female visitors availed themselves of the opportunity to offer prayers at the revered Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, adhering to the meticulously planned organizational procedures governing crowd management and visitation schedules for both genders.

A specialized focus was also dedicated to the needs of 10,482 elderly and disabled individuals, while 110,412 visitors from diverse nationalities benefited from communication services available in multiple languages.

Educational resources housed within the mosque's library were accessed by 12,279 individuals, whereas exhibitions and museums attracted 4,567 patrons.

Furthermore, 149,149 assorted gifts were distributed to visitors, alongside the provision of 648,411 guidance and counseling services via the unified helpline and communication channels, as part of the comprehensive care services offered to worshippers at the Prophet's Mosque.

Field services encompassed the provision of spatial guidance to 94,814 beneficiaries, alongside the facilitation of movement between the courtyards and gates of the Prophet's Mosque for 36,172 visitors. Additionally, over 144,000 bottles of Zamzam water were disbursed, complemented by the distribution of 15,243 Iftar meals for fasting individuals within designated areas within the precincts of the Prophet's Mosque.
