Madinah, March 29, 2025 – The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque offers a variety of specialized services for people with disabilities at the Prophet's Mosque, ensuring they can perform their worship with comfort and ease.
These services include designated prayer areas within the mosque and its external courtyards for people with disabilities and the elderly, equipped with supportive tools such as special prayer chairs, holders for iftar meals at appropriate heights, and arrangements to avoid crowds, ensuring smooth access to prayer areas.
Care for people with disabilities also extends to the deaf and blind, with services like sign language translation of the Friday sermon and Braille copies of the Quran. Additional support is provided to meet their needs and assist them during their time at the mosque, ensuring their safe departure after prayers.
Facilities for the elderly and people with disabilities include specially designed restrooms in both the men's and women's areas, escalators for easy access to service facilities, and direct routes from the parking lots to the mosque courtyards.
