Madinah, January 18, 2024, The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque recently revealed impressive statistics regarding the influx of worshipers and visitors to the sacred site. From the 28th of Jumada II to the 4th of Rajab, a total of 5,832,384 individuals experienced the sanctity of the Prophet's Mosque, where they were welcomed with integrated and high-quality services aimed at ensuring a smooth and efficient prayer experience.
According to the statistics released by the authority, 550,911 individuals visited the revered tomb of Prophet Mohammed, while 130,401 visitors engaged in prayers within the mosque premises. Additionally, 115,551 female worshipers participated in prayers at Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, following meticulously organized procedures that regulate the movement of crowds and schedule prayer times for both men and women.
The report also highlighted the provision of essential services to specific demographics, with 12,110 elderly individuals and people with disabilities benefiting from dedicated services throughout the week. Moreover, 148,858 visitors sought guidance services, and 10,887 individuals accessed information at the Prophet's Mosque's library.
In addition to spiritual activities, the Prophet's Mosque hosted cultural attractions, drawing 2,492 visitors to exhibitions and museums. A generous distribution of 40,062 gifts added to the overall experience, while 31,207 elderly individuals and families availed themselves of electric vehicle transportation services, enhancing their mobility within the mosque.
The authorities ensured the well-being of worshipers by providing over 123,200 bottles of Zamzam water. Furthermore, as a gesture of communal support, 99,832 Iftar meals were distributed in designated corridors for those observing fasting. These statistics not only reflect the religious significance of the Prophet's Mosque but also underscore the commitment to providing comprehensive services to the diverse array of individuals who come to experience its sanctity.
