Prophet's Mosque sees significant visitors during Ramadan's first 20 days

Madinah, April 05, 2024, The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque has reported a substantial influx of worshippers and visitors during the first 20 days of the holy month of Ramadan, 1445 AH.

A staggering 19,899,991 worshippers and visitors graced the Prophet's Mosque during this period, showcasing the profound significance of this sacred site during Ramadan. Among these visitors, 1,643,288 paid homage at the Prophet's (PBUH) tomb, while 655,277 had the privilege of visiting Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, with a breakdown of 358,632 men and 296,595 women.

The authority's meticulous planning and provision of services were evident as they catered to the diverse needs of the visitors. Specifically, 50,820 individuals benefited from designated facilities for older people, while 256,804 availed themselves of the directions service. Additionally, 144,382 visitors utilized communication channels, 46,877 explored exhibitions, and 310,161 took advantage of translation services. Furthermore, 46,877 individuals visited the library, and 185,544 made use of the transportation service, ensuring a seamless experience for all.

In a gesture of hospitality and care, the authority distributed 483,560 bottles of Zamzam water and 649,884 gifts to visitors. Moreover, they provided 5,901,198 meals for worshippers to break their fast, embodying the spirit of generosity and communal support during Ramadan.

To enhance their services, the authority collaborated closely with security, service, emergency, and volunteer agencies. This coordinated effort aimed to provide comprehensive support and assistance to visitors and worshippers, ensuring a spiritually enriching and memorable experience at the Prophet's Mosque during Ramadan.
