Hadramout, February 27, 2024, In January, the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Seiyun District, located in Yemen's Hadramout Governorate, successfully extended its vital medical services to 411 individuals who had experienced limb loss. This initiative was made possible through the steadfast support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
Throughout the project's implementation, a comprehensive total of 1,989 services were delivered. Notably, 65% of the beneficiaries were male, with females comprising 35%. Among the recipients, 19% were displaced persons, while the majority, accounting for 81%, were residents of the area. The diverse range of services provided included the installation and rehabilitation of artificial limbs, physiotherapy sessions, and specialized consultations.
This assistance represents a continuous commitment to humanitarian endeavors by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, channeled through KSrelief. The overarching goal is to enhance the capabilities of the health sector and alleviate the hardships faced by the brotherly people of Yemen. The provision of prosthetic and rehabilitation services not only addresses immediate health needs but also contributes to the long-term well-being and resilience of the community in Seiyun District. Through collaborative efforts, the Kingdom remains dedicated to supporting those in need and fostering positive impacts on healthcare in the region.
