The Quality of Life Programme seeks to establish world-class initiatives to elevate Saudi Arabia to the status of a premier sports nation.

Through media coverage, the program has successfully hosted international sporting championships and events, including the Italian and Spanish Super Cups, which have reached billions of people. Significant progress has also been made by the program in sports-related endeavors, such as planning sporting events and races, reopening the Sports Dome in Dammam, and putting senior and student programs into action.

"Riyadh, August 9, 2024." The Quality of Life Programme seeks to increase the size of the sports business in a number of sectors in order to establish the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a top sports nation. This will be achieved through the implementation of excellent initiatives by the Ministry of Sports and other pertinent entities.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030, this endeavor aims to accomplish two strategic goals: boosting community engagement in sports and attaining excellence in a range of sports at the regional and international levels.

The previous year, the program's remarkable success in the sports industry was made possible by this strategic approach. Among the outcomes were the staging of several international sporting competitions and events, the most renowned of which was the Italian Super Cup 2023, involving teams like Fiorentina, Inter Milan, Napoli, and Lazio. Furthermore, the Spanish Super Cup 2023 was widely reported by the media in 78 different nations, exposing the event to roughly 3.8 billion people worldwide.

The Quality of Life Program's sports-related programs saw some noteworthy successes in 2023. A lot of races and sporting events were organized as a result of the "Vital Places" idea. More than 15,000 runners from around the world participated in the first Riyadh International Marathon. Furthermore, the Sports Dome in Dammam reopened after a period of closure. Currently known as the Saudi Sports for All Federation Dome (SFA), it offers access to over 15 different sports activities to over 43,100 registered beneficiaries. Furthermore, over 35,000 students have registered to join 45 neighborhood groups spread throughout the Kingdom; by 2023, it is projected that 15,000 students will be members.

The Soccer Football Association (SFA) and the Newcastle United Foundation collaborated to create the first program of its kind, the Seniors Project. It was especially made for people in the elder age bracket. With about 1,800 participants, the initiative's goals are to help more people lead active, healthy lifestyles and increase the number of individuals who exercise.

The Kingdom hosted a number of international sporting events to enhance its standing as a top worldwide location for hosting international sports championships and events and to boost the number of residents who compete in sports. The 2023 AlUla Tour, which included 112 riders from 16 different nations, was one of these occasions.
