‘Quality of Life Program’ Participates in the 12th Gulf Municipal Works Conference in Riyadh

Riyadh, October 7, 2024 – As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing living standards and contributing to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030, the Quality of Life Program played a key role in the 12th Gulf Municipal Works Conference, held in Riyadh from October 6 to 8, 2024. The conference brought together a prominent gathering of officials and specialists in municipal work from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, fostering dialogue and collaboration on the region's urban development strategies.

The Quality of Life Program's involvement in the conference aimed to showcase its significant achievements that align with the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which strives to transform the Kingdom's urban infrastructure and services. Central to its participation was the demonstration of how Saudi Arabia is actively improving its quality of life through cutting-edge advancements in municipal work, the development of modern infrastructure, and the integration of advanced technologies.

At the conference's exhibition, the Quality of Life Program presented an array of accomplishments through its pavilion, illustrating its contribution to enhancing the urban environment in cities across the Kingdom. The program underscored its alignment with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas related to sustainability, urban well-being, and inclusive economic growth. Through various initiatives, the program has helped to promote sustainability principles, foster innovation, and support the construction of resilient infrastructure that not only enhances urban life but also strengthens Saudi Arabia’s global standing in sustainable development.

Among the recent successes highlighted by the Quality of Life Program were several initiatives carried out in partnership with various government agencies. These include the expansion of green spaces and public facilities designed to elevate the well-being of residents and create healthier, more livable cities. The program also demonstrated its commitment to adopting smart technologies in municipal operations, furthering the Kingdom's transition towards digital transformation. This focus on smart cities and digital infrastructure underscores Saudi Arabia's ambition to lead the region in creating technologically advanced, efficient urban environments.

In addition to reflecting on past achievements, the Quality of Life Program also took the opportunity to outline its future goals. These include continuing to enhance the quality of life for residents by improving urban infrastructure, expanding environmental sustainability initiatives, and ensuring that the Kingdom remains on track to provide a high standard of living for future generations. By focusing on environmental preservation and sustainable urban growth, the program is positioning Saudi Arabia as a model for innovation and forward-thinking development in the Gulf region.
