Madinah, March 21, 2024, The Quran Affairs Department at the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque is stepping up its efforts to ensure the utmost care for the Holy Quran housed within the Prophet's Mosque. This department plays a crucial role in providing access to the Quran for visitors and worshipers, especially focusing on non-Arabic speakers by offering translations. Additionally, it takes charge of organizing the Quran copies within the mosque premises, including its expansions and courtyards, while also maintaining their cleanliness and safety through continuous supervision and inspection.
Within the Prophet's Mosque, a staggering collection of over 155,000 Quran copies is available, featuring translations in 52 languages to cater to a diverse audience. Furthermore, the department's dedication extends to providing 65 Braille copies for visually impaired individuals and managing 10,496 Quran holders for ease of access and reverence towards the sacred text. These efforts underscore the commitment of the Quran Affairs Department to uphold the sanctity and accessibility of the Quran within one of Islam's most revered places of worship.
