Red Sea Film Festival Now Open
The Red Sea International Film Festival has officially opened submissions for its fifth edition, scheduled from December 4–12, 2025, in Jeddah Historic District—a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich cultural tapestry.
Starting May 6 and closing August 17, 2025, the call welcomes both established and emerging filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab region, Africa, and Asia. Submissions made before July 7 will benefit from a free early entry period, encouraging wide participation.
The festival features multiple sections, including the Long Films Competition, Shorts Competition, and the vibrant New Saudi/New Cinema category. Filmmakers will compete for the prestigious Yusr Awards, with the Golden Yusr for Best Feature Film carrying a $100,000 prize. Other accolades include Best Director, Jury Prize, and Best Short Film.
