Jeddah, April 26, 2024, The Red Sea Film Foundation has recently announced its continued partnership with Effat University for the second consecutive year, as part of the "Women in Cinema" program aimed at empowering promising female filmmakers. This collaboration was formalized at the conclusion of the Effat University International Student Film Festival and was attended by esteemed figures including Princess Lolowah Al-Faisal, the General Supervisor of Effat University, and Dr. Haifa Reda Jamal Al-Lail, the university's President.
The partnership between the Red Sea Film Foundation and Effat University offers a valuable platform for aspiring female filmmakers from the university, providing them with support to bring their artistic visions to life. Through the Red Sea Fund, a subsidiary of the Red Sea Film Foundation, 22 diverse film projects will receive support from the development phase to the post-production stage, thereby enhancing the overall quality of these projects.
Mohammed Al-Turki, the CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, expressed pride in the ongoing partnership, highlighting its significance in supporting and empowering women locally, regionally, and internationally within the film industry.
