On December 6, 2024, the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) opened its fourth edition in Historic Jeddah’s Al Balad district, welcoming cinema enthusiasts and industry professionals from around the globe. The festival’s theme, “The New Home of Film,” reflects Saudi Arabia's ambition to become a key hub for the global film industry. The event featured the world premiere of The Tale of Daye's Family, a Saudi-Egyptian co-production, marking the beginning of a 10-day celebration of cinema.
RSIFF’s extensive program includes 122 films from 85 countries, screened in 49 languages, and showcases the diverse talent from both the Arab world and beyond. In addition to the screenings, the festival offers seminars, workshops, and panels to foster collaboration and support regional and international filmmakers. The event honors a variety of film stars, including Emily Blunt, Mona Zaki, and Aamir Khan, with Vin Diesel receiving a Special Recognition Award.
