Jeddah, November 9, 2023, The Red Sea Souk unveiled its projects for the third annual Red Sea International Film Festival, featuring talents from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, and Africa. Partnering with esteemed institutions like Tribeca Film Festival and Venice International Film Festival, the Red Sea 360° and Networking Sessions will run from December 2-5, followed by the Talent Days program on December 6-7.
The programs aim to showcase cinematic productions, foster international collaboration, and provide a platform for filmmakers. The Red Sea 360° program includes seminars and panel discussions exploring the film industry's future and its impact on global entertainment.
The Red Sea Souk, Project Market, and Work-In-Progress Showcase will present 26 films from Arab and African directors. The Project Market program, developed through Red Sea Labs and TorinoFilmLab, features 12 projects, with four receiving production awards. The Work-In-Progress Showcase includes six post-production films, competing for awards and collaboration opportunities.
Financial awards, including the Red Sea Souk Post-Production Award, are provided by the Red Sea Fund. Festival badge holders can attend events at Jeddah Ritz-Carlton. Applications to join the Red Sea Souk 2023 are open.
