Registration for Saudi Media Forum Award Opens

Media professionals and institutions are encouraged to submit their entries by December 10, 2024, with details available on the official Saudi Media Forum website.
The Saudi Media Forum Award has opened registration for its annual award, recognizing outstanding media creativity across 15 tracks, including journalism, television programs, podcasts, and academic research.

Riyadh, November 24, 2024 – The Saudi Media Forum Award Secretariat has officially launched the registration for its prestigious annual award, which is held in conjunction with the forum’s activities and the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX). The award aims to celebrate exceptional media creativity across various disciplines and is designed to inspire professionals in the media sector to produce innovative and impactful work. It underscores the critical role media plays in shaping and advancing development across multiple sectors globally.

The award will cover four main categories with 15 tracks, recognizing achievements in both journalistic and non-journalistic media. These categories include journalism disciplines such as data journalism, press reporting, fieldwork, and op-ed articles. The award also embraces a broad spectrum of non-journalistic content, including television programs, sports broadcasting, social dialogue shows, documentaries, and podcasts. Additionally, it will honor academic research in the field of media, further highlighting the diverse nature of modern media production.

In a bid to ensure inclusivity and broaden participation, the award will extend its reach to both public and private sector players through the communication and public relations category, focusing particularly on media campaigns. Notably, the forum will also recognize individual media professionals through special awards such as Media Personality of the Year, Best Digital Content Award (which is determined by public voting), the Newspaper Column Award, and the newly introduced Tolerance Award. This last award was established in collaboration with the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue and aims to promote tolerance and mutual understanding in the media landscape.

The Saudi Media Forum Award invites media professionals, content creators, and institutions to submit their entries via the official award platform, with the submission deadline set for December 10, 2024. Detailed information about the categories, eligibility, and conditions for participation can be found on the official Saudi Media Forum website: [saudimf.sa/ar/awards](http://saudimf.sa/ar/awards).
