Riyadh, February 13, 2024, The Architecture and Design Commission announced today the opening of registration for the prestigious King Salman Charter for Architecture and Urbanism Award. This esteemed award seeks to recognize and celebrate outstanding built environment projects that align with the principles outlined in the King Salman Charter for Architecture and Urbanism, while also promoting excellence in design.

The award comprises three distinct tracks: one for built projects, one for unbuilt projects, and a dedicated track for university students' projects. Eligible participants include project owners, design firms, and students, each with specific requirements outlined for their respective tracks. A panel of distinguished architects will evaluate submissions based on transparent criteria.

Interested parties can register for the award on the official website until February 17, 2024, at https://engage.moc.gov.sa/kscau. This award holds significant value as it is closely associated with the King Salman Charter for Architecture and Urbanism, named after the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The charter, launched in December 2021, embodies King Salman's commitment to fostering a contemporary approach to urban development, grounded in principles of authenticity, continuity, human-centricity, livability, innovation, and sustainability. It aims to establish a distinctive urban identity that enriches the national landscape and leaves lasting legacies for future generations.
