Homs, January 12, 2025 – In a continued display of solidarity and compassion, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) conducted an aid distribution in Talbiseh, a town located in Syria’s Homs Governorate, on Thursday. This distribution is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian support to the Syrian people, who have been enduring prolonged hardships due to the ongoing conflict in the region.
A total of 86 food baskets were distributed, each containing a 10-kilogram bag of flour, which is a staple in many Syrian households. In addition to the food baskets, 86 winter kits and 86 personal-care kits were also handed out, ensuring that recipients are not only supported with essential nutrition but also provided with much-needed warmth and basic hygiene items during the cold winter months. The distribution directly benefitted 309 individuals from 86 families, offering them crucial relief during a time of ongoing crisis.
This initiative is part of KSrelief’s broader food security project in Syria, which aims to mitigate the impact of food insecurity and enhance the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations. By distributing both food and winter supplies, KSrelief seeks to address the immediate needs of displaced families and those living in areas most affected by the conflict and its aftermath.
