Najran, September 10, 2024 — The Roads General Authority has highlighted that Najran's road network, which extends over 2,850 kilometers, adheres to high safety and quality standards. This infrastructure not only supports commercial, developmental, and economic activities but also capitalizes on Najran's strategic position to enhance its role as a major tourist and commercial hub.
The region is currently engaged in several significant road projects, including both new construction and maintenance. A notable undertaking is the construction of a 10-kilometer road, with an investment of SAR 94 million. In addition, five major maintenance projects are underway, covering a total of 113 kilometers, with a combined budget of SAR 153 million.
These efforts are in line with the road sector’s strategic objectives, which emphasize safety, quality, and efficient traffic management. The ultimate goal is to position Najran among the leading regions globally for road quality and to reduce traffic fatalities to fewer than five per 100,000 people by 2030.
