Riyadh Book Fair's first day featured seminar on Saudi-China friendship

Riyadh, September 29, 2023, On its inaugural day, the Riyadh International Book Fair hosted a seminar aimed at spotlighting Chinese culture and fostering stronger friendship ties between Saudi Arabia and China. The seminar delved into the reinforcement of cultural and political relations while emphasizing the need for enhanced intellectual exchanges between the Arab world and China.


Chinese professor Xue Qingguo, who serves as the editor-in-chief of the Arabic version of China Today newspaper, commended Saudi Arabia's remarkable advancements across various domains. He praised the Kingdom's openness to global visitors, its societal progress, and its commitment to providing opportunities for future generations.


Furthermore, the Chinese academic applauded Saudi Arabia's efforts to diversify its sources of income, transforming the nation into what he described as a "paradise on Earth." He also commended Saudi Vision 2030 for its ambitious goals.


Xue Qingguo emphasized the significance of the collaboration between Saudi Arabia and China, underscoring the importance of the Chinese language in this partnership. He stressed the need to strengthen the historically, culturally, and politically rich relations between Saudi Arabia and China, highlighting the potential for increased cooperation.
