In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the executive committee of the Islamic Forum for Halal Accrediting Bodies (IFHAB) convened for the first time.
Accredited organizations from member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) comprised the committee's membership.
Adel bin Abdulrahman Alkeaid was selected as the Chairman of the Committee, with Eng. Moteb Al-Mezani elected as the deputy chairman and Badr bin Ibrahim Abdullatif was appointed as the conference secretary.
Riyadh, 30 May 2024 during the first meeting of the committee of Members of the executive committee of the Islamic Forum for Halal Accrediting Bodies represented the accrediting bodies from OIC Member States. The election of the Executive Committee for its first term was the first activity of the inaugural session under the chairmanship of Saud bin Rashed Al Askar, Deputy Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization, SASO. The Saudi Accreditation Center elected Adel bin Abdulrahman Alkeaid to be in charge of the committee. The GCC Accreditation Center (GAC) was represented by Eng. Moteb Al-Mezani, was elected to the position of deputy chairman, and Badr bin Ibrahim Abdullatif was appointed to the position of conference secretary. Alkeaid presided over the committee's meeting, during which they discussed a variety of topics on the agenda and evaluated the most significant accomplishments. The committee also discussed the bylaws of the International Federation of Housing Associations (IFHAB), the establishment of forum committees, and other significant matters.
