Riyadh hosts inaugural Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival, February 2024

Riyadh, November 23, 2023, The Saudi Camel Sports organization unveiled plans for the inaugural edition of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival, set to take place in Riyadh in February 2024. The announcement comes with the assurance of significant global participation, as camel owners from various corners of the world are expected to converge on the festival grounds, vying for a substantial prize pool exceeding SAR70 million.


In response to this exciting development, Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal expressed his satisfaction with the approval of the festival by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He emphasized that this endorsement reflects the unwavering support accorded to the sports sector by the country's leadership, underscoring Saudi Arabia's commitment to a comprehensive sports renaissance.


Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Camel Sports, extended gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for greenlighting the festival. He highlighted the pivotal role played by the Saudi leadership in elevating camel racing to international acclaim, emphasizing the recognition of this sport on the global stage.
