RIYADH, March 27, 2025 — The Riyadh Traffic Department has arrested a man seen in a video committing a joyriding violation in a residential area of the capital, recklessly endangering his life and the safety of others.


The department confirmed that the offender has been referred to the Traffic Authority for legal action. It stated that the penalty for stunt driving includes a fine of up to SR60,000 and the impoundment of the vehicle involved. Following the penalty, the violator will be referred to a competent court to determine whether the vehicle should be confiscated or a fine imposed equivalent to its value.

Security patrols in Riyadh apprehended a Saudi citizen who appeared in a video firing at three vehicles, ramming into them, taking control of one, and attempting to flee the scene.


Public Security reported that legal action has been taken against the suspect. Investigations further revealed that the individual suffers from psychological disorders.
