Riyadh's King Khalid Airport receives 60 horses from Belgium

Riyadh, April 13, 2024, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh recently welcomed 60 horses transported from Liege, Belgium, over two days. These horses are set to participate in the highly anticipated 2024 FEI World Cup Series Finals in Dressage and Jumping, scheduled to kick off next Tuesday and span four days.

Upon their arrival, the horses were transported in specialized trucks to their designated stables at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, which serves as the event's central hub. Known for their exceptional quality and value, these horses will compete alongside some of the world's most renowned riders, making for a thrilling and competitive event.

To ensure the well-being and safety of the equine athletes, the organizing committee has implemented stringent measures, including round-the-clock monitoring by both human professionals and cutting-edge technology, in adherence to international quarantine regulations.

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has officially released the list of participants for this historic event, marking the first time the World Cup Series Finals will be held in the Middle East. Among the 34 distinguished riders confirmed, the top 6 global rankings will be represented, alongside 17 elite male and female riders vying for success in the dressage competitions.
