Riyadh Season 2024 Attracts Two Million Visitors in Just One Week


Riyadh, October 21, 2024 — Riyadh Season 2024 has launched with remarkable success, attracting an impressive two million visitors within just the first week of its opening. This significant milestone was proudly announced by Advisor Turki bin Abdulmohsen AlAlshikh, chairman of the board of directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA). The overwhelming turnout underscores the public's enthusiasm for this annual entertainment extravaganza, which continues to grow in scale and diversity.


This year's Riyadh Season features five main areas, each offering unique experiences: Boulevard World, Kingdom Arena, Boulevard City, The Venue, and Al-Suwaidi Park. Notably, Boulevard World has undergone a substantial 30 percent expansion to better accommodate the influx of visitors. The revamped area now showcases five new sections representing Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Iran, Africa, and Courchevel, bringing the total to 22 diverse zones that celebrate cultures from around the globe. Visitors can indulge in a culinary journey with over 300 restaurants and cafés, as well as explore more than 890 shops, making it a vibrant hub of activity.


In a landmark event, Kingdom Arena hosted a historic boxing match that captivated sports fans, where Artur Beterbiev claimed the title of undisputed champion in the light heavyweight division after a closely contested victory over Dmitry Bivol by majority decision. This thrilling bout not only showcased elite competition in the boxing world but also marked a significant milestone in the sport, drawing attention from international audiences.


The Venue area kicked off its season with the prestigious Six Kings Slam Championship, touted as the world’s most expensive tennis tournament. This elite event attracted six of the top-ranked tennis stars, including renowned players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune, promising high-stakes matches and showcasing the best in professional tennis.


Additionally, Al-Suwaidi Park is currently alive with the vibrant colors and sounds of Indian cultural festivities, which will continue until Tuesday. These celebrations feature an exciting lineup of popular shows, traditional cuisine, and artistic concerts, drawing large crowds from the Indian community, local residents, and culture enthusiasts eager to experience the richness of Indian heritage.


Boulevard City is enchanting visitors with a range of innovative entertainment experiences, including the thrilling PUBG Mobile game and an immersive Conan experience. The area offers a picturesque atmosphere, highlighted by a dancing fountain that enhances the overall ambiance, making it a popular gathering spot for families and friends.
