Riyadh, December 18, 2023, In a significant decision made during its meeting, the General Assembly of the Arab Billiards and Snooker Federation approved Riyadh as the host city for the Arab Billiards Championship 2024. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the combined Arab Billiards and Snooker Championship and Carrom Games, scheduled to take place in Jordan from December 10 to 20.
The participants in the meeting also reached several key decisions, including the appointment of Saudi Nabil Al-Shamardal as a member of the central committee of Arab referees. Additionally, the assembly agreed to hold the Arab Cup tournament in Dubai in 2024, signifying a commitment to fostering regional sports competitions.
Other agenda items included the review of financial and administrative reports, ensuring transparency and accountability within the federation. Furthermore, the assembly worked on establishing a comprehensive games calendar for the years 2024 and 2025, outlining the schedule for various billiards and snooker events across the Arab region.
