Riyadh to Host FIFAe Finals 2024 on December 5-12

Saudi Arabia as a Hub for Esports: Riyadh is chosen to host the event due to its growing esports culture and infrastructure, with the Saudi Esports Federation continuing to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global leader in the esports industry.

Riyadh, November 27, 2024 — The highly anticipated FIFAe Finals 2024 will make history by introducing multiple esports titles to its roster for the first time, solidifying its position as the ultimate stage for competitive football gaming. The event will showcase the FIFAe World Cup™ featuring Rocket League and the FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™, both on console and mobile platforms. This marks a significant expansion in the scope of the tournament, offering players from diverse esports ecosystems the chance to compete on the world’s most prestigious stage under the FIFAe banner.


Hosted by the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), the FIFAe Finals 2024 will take place at the state-of-the-art SEF Arena at BLVD Riyadh City. The event will unfold in two distinct phases, beginning with the FIFAe World Cup featuring Rocket League, which will run from December 5 to 8, 2024. This thrilling tournament will be followed by the FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™, held on both console and mobile platforms, from December 9 to 12, 2024. These tournaments will bring together the best esports athletes from across the globe, competing for the ultimate title and a share of the total $450,000 prize pool.


Speaking ahead of the event, Turki Al-Fawzan, CEO of the Saudi Esports Federation, expressed his pride in the country’s growing role as a global leader in esports. “As we continue to strengthen Saudi Arabia's position as a hub for esports innovation and development, hosting the FIFAe Finals 2024 is a defining moment for us. The addition of multiple titles to this year’s FIFAe Finals is a significant milestone in the evolution of football esports, according to FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström. “This year’s expanded tournament format, featuring Rocket League and eFootball™, offers players from different competitive ecosystems the chance to perform at the highest level,” Grafström remarked. “The FIFAe Finals 2024 represents an exciting new chapter for esports, and we are thrilled to partner with SEF to bring this monumental event to life in Riyadh.”


The FIFAe Finals 2024 will see intense competition as 16 nations vie for glory in Rocket League, while up to 18 countries will compete in eFootball™ across both console and mobile formats. This multi-title approach introduces a unique and dynamic blend of competitive gaming, with national pride on the line for the first time in these esports ecosystems. The prize pool for this year’s FIFAe Finals is an impressive $450,000, with $250,000 allocated for the Rocket League competition and $100,000 for each of the two eFootball™ tournaments—one for console and another for mobile players. These substantial prize pools underscore the growing stature of the event and its significance in the global esports calendar. The competition will be a thrilling test of skill, strategy, and endurance as players battle it out for both national pride and substantial monetary rewards.
