Roberto Mancini unveils Saudi national team squad for qualifiers

RIYADH — Roberto Mancini, the esteemed head coach of the Saudi national football team, has unveiled the squad set to compete in the upcoming third and fourth rounds of the second phase of the Asian qualifiers for both the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.

The Saudi team's rigorous training camp is scheduled to kick off next Sunday in Riyadh, boasting a talented ensemble of 28 players:

The Saudi team is poised to face off against the Tajikistan national team on March 21 at the illustrious Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh. Subsequently, they will travel as guests to compete against the same team on March 26 at the esteemed Central Stadium in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.

Placed in Group 7 of the second round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup, Saudi Arabia finds itself alongside formidable opponents such as Jordan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan. With an impressive track record thus far, leading the group with 6 points following triumphant victories against Pakistan and Jordan in the initial rounds, the Saudi team exudes confidence as they continue their pursuit of securing a coveted spot in the prestigious tournaments ahead.
