Rolls-Royce Motor Cars introduces 'The Pearl Cullinan,' a one-of-a-kind Bespoke car commissioned to celebrate a significant 90th birthday. It marks the inaugural project unveiled by the Private Office Dubai, collaborating with local Dealer Partners to extend the authentic Goodwood experience to the Middle East and Africa region.
Commissioned in early 2022, 'The Pearl Cullinan' reflects the owner's love for pearls and his extensive collection. The unique Bespoke Pearl Rose exterior finish, inspired by the owner's prized pearl, is crafted exclusively for this car and won't be available to other clients. Paint experts at Rolls-Royce's Goodwood headquarters meticulously developed this finish, combining metallic and pearlescent effects for a unique depth and luster. The process involved approximately 30 iterations, with the color validated under Middle Eastern sunlight conditions.
The interior of 'The Pearl Cullinan' is equally exquisite, featuring Cashmere Grey leather on the front seats and Ardent Red on the rear seats, reflecting the family's heritage. The burr walnut veneer complements the wooden presentation boxes used for pearls. Rose Gold embroidery and Bespoke treadplates add to the luxurious interior.
One of the distinctive features of 'The Pearl Cullinan' is its extensive use of mother-of-pearl, notably in the Picnic Tables at the rear of the front passenger seats. The tabletops feature an intricate circular pattern inspired by traditional Arabic design, with 1,351 pieces of mother-of-pearl inlays, making each table a unique work of art. The burr walnut fascia incorporates an Arabic 'father' inlay in stainless steel. The Bespoke dashboard clock is set in a mother-of-pearl surround with rose gold accents. The Starlight Headliner displays the night sky at the location of the commissioning client's father's birth.
The project, coordinated by Michelle Lusby, Bespoke Lead Designer at the Private Office Dubai, underscores the emotional connection and creative challenge posed by the unique use of mother-of-pearl. It stands as a remarkable testament to Rolls-Royce's commitment to crafting extraordinary Bespoke vehicles.
