Royal Court Advisor Dr. Al Rabeeah, with KSrelief team, inspects Gaza aid entry

Rafah Border Crossing, November 22, 2023, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, along with the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Nugali, and a specialized team from KSrelief, inspected the progress and mechanisms for the entry of humanitarian aid provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Al Rabeeah launched a relief convoy from Saudi Arabia heading to the Rafah border crossing, overseeing the preparation and management of the Saudi convoys at the warehouses and inspecting the coordination procedures with relevant authorities responsible for aid entry to the Gaza Strip.

In an effort to expedite aid provision to those affected, Dr. Al Rabeeah and the delegation visited the Rafah crossing, where they were briefed on arrangements, relief convoy sizes, and humanitarian operation progress. Saudi Arabia aims to ensure the swift entry of a significant amount of relief materials to meet the urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, in a press statement, explained that KSrelief launched the Saudi National Campaign to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through the Sahem platform, aligning with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince. He noted that the relief aid included food and shelter materials, medical supplies, and ambulances transported via air and sea relief bridges.

A total of 15 Saudi relief planes have been sent, and the first vessel in the relief sea bridge has delivered 1,050 tons. The second vessel is set to sail on Saturday, November 25, and the third on Tuesday following. The convoy launched today comprises 326 trucks moving towards the Rafah crossing and then to the Gaza Strip, with more convoys expected in the coming period.

Dr. Al Rabeeah expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian government for facilitating KSrelief’s humanitarian efforts to receive the Saudi air and sea bridges and transport aid to Gaza. He concluded by expressing gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and all contributors for their support and donations through KSrelief’s Sahem platform.
