Riyadh, April 16, 2024, The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) is gearing up to take part in the upcoming multinational air exercise known as "Desert Flag," scheduled to commence next week at the Al Dhafra Air Base located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Recently, RSAF Commander Lt. Gen. Prince Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud personally oversaw the departure of the Saudi team from King Faisal Air Base in the northern sector. During this send-off, he received a comprehensive briefing from the commander of the air force team regarding their preparedness and equipment. Additionally, he met with the team members, encouraging them to exert their utmost efforts to derive maximum benefit from the exercise. He emphasized the significance of representing RSAF with honor, maintaining the air force's distinguished reputation across all platforms, and adhering strictly to safety protocols.
Highlighting the importance of "Desert Flag" as a crucial exercise in the region, the RSAF Commander underscored that the RSAF's participation would involve the deployment of F-15SA aircraft along with their full complement of air, technical, and support crews. He expressed confidence that this participation would facilitate the exchange of military expertise, enhance operational readiness and combat effectiveness, and foster stronger ties with the other participating forces.
