SAEI partners with LUBEREF to explore localizing lubricants

Steve Halor

Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI), a Saudia Group subsidiary, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company, Luberef. Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will work closely together to localize the provision of aviation lubricants, such as engine oil. This pact represents the companies’ sustained focus on expanding localization efforts.

Fahd H. Cynndy, CEO of SAEI, speaking about the endeavor, stated, "SAEI shares Aramco’s deep commitment to increase local content and boost domestic supply chains. A capacity to source lubricants in-country nurtures growth and resilience in the aviation eco-system, as well as driving economic diversification in line with Vision 2030.

SAEI is a catalyst for achieving the Kingdom’s stated Saudi Aviation Strategy through expanding its operations, localizing manufacturing industries, and improving the performance of local logistics hubs.
