Riyadh, March 06, 2024, The Society of Autism Families (SAF) association has been honored with the Stevie Award for Innovation in the Middle East and North Africa for its "Rishat Tayf" (Feather Spectrum) project. This initiative focuses on developing the skills and talents of individuals with autism spectrum disorder in the visual arts. The award ceremony took place in Ras Al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.
The "Rishat Tayf" project has yielded over 100 inspiring artistic paintings created under the guidance of 100 Saudi visual artists. The art exhibitions associated with the project were held in key locations across five cities in Saudi Arabia and prominent social centers, drawing significant public attendance and engagement.
Notably, several charity auctions held in conjunction with the project successfully raised over SAR 4 million. Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan, the Chairman of the board of directors of the association, emphasized that the Stevie Award reflects the result of a systematic work strategy aimed at bringing about positive change in the lives of thousands of individuals with autism spectrum disorder in the Kingdom.
The "Rishat Tayf" project was conceived to generate widespread community awareness about the creativity and talents of individuals with autism. It seeks to involve society in appreciating the artistic vision of people with autism, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation.
Earlier, the Society of Autism Families (SAF) association achieved the prestigious "Great Place to Work" certification, making it the first specialized association in the Kingdom to receive this international recognition for fostering an exceptional work environment. These accolades highlight the association's commitment to making a meaningful impact and promoting inclusivity for individuals with autism in Saudi Arabia.
