AL-AHSA— The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) announced the country's national team's upcoming fixture against Pakistan's national team in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers on Nov. 16.
Scheduled at the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium of Al-Fateh Club in Al-Ahsa, the match marks the start of the Green Falcons' journey in the Asian qualifiers for both the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.
Expressing enthusiasm for this beginning, the Saudi national team declared from Al-Ahsa the commencement of their World Cup journey, initiating at Al-Fateh Stadium on Nov. 16. They extended a warm greeting to the people of Al-Ahsa.
Following this, the Saudi national team will play its away match against Jordan on Nov. 21, followed by a home match against Tajikistan on March 21, 2024. The two teams will have an away match in Tajikistan on March 26.
The Saudi team will then face Pakistan on home ground on June 6, 2024, and conclude their second round of qualifiers by hosting the Jordanian national team on June 11.
This anticipated clash between the Saudi and Pakistani teams will mark their first encounter in the history of World Cup qualifiers, setting the stage for an unprecedented match between the two teams.
The Green Falcons have a history with Jordan, having played 13 matches, with the Saudi team securing six victories while Jordan won five, along with two draws. In their four matches against Turkmenistan, the Saudi team won three and drew one.
