With a remarkable capacity of 500 megawatts, this groundbreaking turbine is part of the Bash project, situated in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan. The installation of this impressive turbine was expertly carried out by the China Energy Engineering Company, a renowned firm specializing in engineering, procurement, and construction. In a recent statement, Kashif Rana, the CEO of ACWA Power, expressed his pride in reaching a significant milestone at the Bash Wind Farm. Rana highlighted the successful installation of the first turbine, which adds to the project's extensive list of achievements. He also emphasized the ongoing progress in the project's development stages, underscoring its role in supporting the Uzbek government's strategic objective of diversifying the energy mix in Uzbekistan. In a groundbreaking development, the highly-anticipated Bash wind farm is set to revolutionize the renewable energy sector. With an impressive 79 wind turbines slated for completion by the first quarter of 2025, this independent project is poised to make a significant impact. Experts predict that once operational, the wind farm will generate an astounding 1650 GWh of electricity annually, effectively curbing carbon dioxide emissions by a staggering 750 tons each year. This ambitious endeavor marks a major stride towards a greener and more sustainable future.
