Dr. Saad Al-Qasabi highlights Kingdom's initiatives boosting Saudi market attractiveness

In a recent statement, Dr. Al-Qasabi, a prominent figure in the industry, emphasized the unwavering dedication of the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) to transform the Saudi market into a trustworthy hub for trade. The organization aims to achieve this by enhancing the quality of both domestic and imported products as well as fostering a competitive environment within the market. During the recent tour of several EU countries by the SASO delegation, Dr. Al-Qasabi, the esteemed representative, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming enthusiasm displayed by businessmen and women from these nations in their desire to penetrate the lucrative Saudi market. The primary objective of this delegation was to establish and implement conformity evaluation procedures for products in Saudi Arabia, a mission that has garnered significant attention and interest from the European business community. The SASO delegation, currently in Spain, has taken proactive steps to foster international trade between the Kingdom and its partners. To achieve this goal, they organized a workshop for manufacturers and suppliers, where crucial topics such as the Saudi Product Safety Program, the Saber Electronic Platform, and the benefits of obtaining the Saudi Quality Mark were discussed at length. The delegation also shed light on various services and programs offered by SASO, further emphasizing their commitment to facilitating trade and ensuring product quality. In a series of productive meetings, Dr. Al-Qasabi, a prominent figure in the field, engaged with Alfredo Berges, Chairman of the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE), and Javier Garcia Diaz, UNE Director General. The primary objective of these discussions was to foster enhanced collaboration and fortify relationships across multiple domains of standardization. In a noteworthy development, the individual in question held meetings with key figures from various government agencies, chambers of commerce, and manufacturers operating in sectors that boast the most substantial export volumes to Saudi Arabia. In a bid to bolster trade ties between the Kingdom and Spain, a series of discussions were held with the objective of exploring various avenues for enhancement.
