Riyadh, October 19, 2023, The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) is set to host a seminar entitled "The Role of Standards in Enabling Economic Growth for the Private Sector" on October 23. The seminar will be presented by Sergio Mujica, the Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The event aims to explore the significance of standards in fostering economic growth both domestically and internationally. It will emphasize the role of the private sector in this context, highlighting the potential to enhance productivity, efficiency, product quality, safety, and reliability in global trade.
SASO extends an invitation to specialists, government officials, and private sector representatives in Saudi Arabia to participate in the seminar, with registration available on their website.
ISO, as an independent, non-governmental international organization, unites 169 national standards bodies to collaborate on developing voluntary, consensus-based international standards. These standards play a crucial role in supporting innovation and addressing global challenges.
