Aleppo, March 05, 2024, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has been extending assistance to families impacted by the earthquake in northern and western Syria.
Through several initiatives, KSrelief has been actively aiding those in distress, including the provision of winter clothing vouchers to affected families. This initiative is specifically designed to cater to the most vulnerable segments of society, including women, children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, by furnishing them with heating resources to shield them from the harsh winter conditions. Such support ensures their well-being and comfort during the winter season.
Between the period of October 5, 2023, and February 5, 2024, KSrelief successfully distributed 33,830 winter clothing vouchers in Jindires town, located in the Afrin region of Aleppo Governorate, as well as in the areas of Darkush, Harim, and Salqin in Idlib Governorate. A total of 38,476 individuals benefitted from these winter clothing vouchers, with an additional 6,175 individuals receiving supplementary winter aid vouchers.
This commitment to providing various forms of humanitarian assistance underscores the Kingdom's dedication to addressing the needs of earthquake-affected groups in Syria and ensuring their fundamental living requirements are met. These efforts are an integral part of the Kingdom's broader relief endeavors facilitated through KSrelief.
